Following the call for applications by the Togolese Football Federation, Noel Tosi has submitted his candidacy to coach the Togo Sparrowhawks. In contrast to Michel Cavalli, who is reportedly considering coaching opportunities in DR Congo and Asia, a source close to Tosi confirms that he has solely applied for the Togo position.
When asked about his aspirations with Togo, the former coach of Mauritania and Congo expressed his determination to lead the Sparrowhawks to victory in the African Cup of Nations and qualify for the World Cup.
“I aim to win the CAN and qualify for the World Cup with this generation, which includes players from the 2006 group in Germany,” Tosi stated.
Currently, the Togolese public eagerly awaits the appointment of the technical commission, tasked with evaluating the applications. The commission comprises 11 members, including representatives from the ministries of sports, labor, finance, and territorial administration, as well as officials from the Togolese Football Federation.
