Asamoah Gyan, the captain of Ghana’s national team and a key player for Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates, has been named the Player of the Season in Ghana. Gyan’s outstanding performance in the UAE league, where he scored 26 goals in 29 matches for Al-Ain, earned him this prestigious award.
At the ceremony held in Accra, Ghana’s capital, Gyan topped the list, beating notable players like Kwadwo Asamoah, who won the Italian Serie A with Juventus, and Sulley Muntari, who had a challenging season with AC Milan.
This recognition serves as added motivation for Gyan as he prepares to represent Ghana in the 2014 World Cup, aiming to showcase his talent on the global stage.
