Ghana centre-back Ebenezer Kpozo joins Humenne for the 2026-27 season

Ghanaian defender Ebenezer Kpozo has joined Humenne from Podbrezova on loan, completing a move that takes the 20-year-old centre-back into the Slovakian II. Liga.

Kpozo’s loan began on 2 September 2026 and runs until 30 June 2027. He will return to Podbrezova at the end of the agreement, with the transfer recorded as a loan move rather than a permanent transfer.

The 1.92m right-footed defender arrives at Humenne after a short spell with Podbrezova, whom he joined on a free transfer from Pohronie on 1 July 2026. His move to Humenne therefore comes less than three months after he switched clubs at the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

Kpozo has not made an appearance for Podbrezova this season, with the defender yet to feature in the club’s six possible Nike Liga matches. He now moves to Humenne, whose league campaign is being played in the II. Liga.

The transfer continues a series of club moves for Kpozo since he left Ghanaian side Agbogba FC. He joined Georgian club FC Telavi on a free transfer on 20 February 2025, before moving to Slovakia with Pohronie in January 2026.

Kpozo’s first European move came when he left Agbogba FC for FC Telavi, also on a free transfer. He then spent the latter part of the 2025-26 season with Pohronie before joining Podbrezova during the summer.

Now contracted to Podbrezova beyond the loan period, Kpozo will spend the 2026-27 season with Humenne before the scheduled end of the agreement next June. The move gives the Ghanaian defender a new club in Slovakia while his registration remains connected to Podbrezova.

Kpozo has joined Humenne on loan from Podbrezova until 30 June 2027.
