Georgino Kalela joins Ionikos Nikea from Fostiras on free transfer

Guinea-Bissau midfielder Georgino Kalela has begun a new chapter in Greece after joining Ionikos Nikea from Fostiras on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old, who plays in midfield, completed the move on 2 September 2026. Kalela becomes an Ionikos Nikea player after leaving Fostiras, with the transfer completed without a fee.

Kalela’s latest move follows an eight-month spell with Fostiras. He joined the club from Asteras Vari on 1 January 2026, also on a free transfer, before switching to Ionikos Nikea at the start of September.

His time at Asteras Vari began in July 2023, when he moved from Ik. Kallitheas. That transfer was likewise completed without a fee, making Ionikos Nikea the third club Kalela has joined since leaving Ik. Kallitheas.

Kalela’s competitive record includes one appearance in the Kypello Amateur, during which he played 27 minutes. The available record places that appearance within his recent club career, following his moves between Fostiras and Asteras Vari.

The midfielder is the only player identified in the transfer as moving to Ionikos Nikea in this deal, while his previous club was Fostiras. His arrival gives the club a player with experience of moving through Greek football without a transfer fee being paid.

Kalela has signed a contract with Ionikos Nikea running until 30 June 2027.
