The Angolan national football team, Palancas Negras, is gearing up for a busy month of May with two scheduled friendly matches. According to Angolafoot, the local federation has finalized agreements for Angola to play against Morocco on May 28 and against Iran on May 30.
These matches will serve multiple purposes. For Iran, it will be an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming World Cup where they are grouped with Nigeria, an African country. Meanwhile, Morocco will use these friendlies to fine-tune their preparations for the CAN 2015.
For the Palancas Negras, these matches mark the debut of new coach Romeu Filemon as they aim to prepare for the Moroccan CAN qualifiers. To ensure the national team is well-prepared, the local federation has also decided to postpone matchdays 14 and 15 of the domestic championship scheduled for the same period.
