Monaco striker Folarin Balogun is inching closer to a long-awaited return.
The 23-year-old Monaco striker, sidelined since early October with a dislocated shoulder sustained against Stade Rennais, has now resumed full-contact training.
Initially expected to miss over two months, his swift recovery offers hope to both Monaco fans and the U.S. national team. Speaking at a press conference, Monaco coach Adi Hütter confirmed the striker’s medical clearance, though he emphasized Balogun still needs match sharpness.
“Medically, he is fit, but not yet game-ready. He needs more practice and duels to prove he’s ready for the starting XI. When he does, he’ll be back,” said Hütter.
Balogun, who grew up in London after emigrating from New York at age two, has impressed since joining Monaco from Arsenal. While he won’t feature in Friday’s clash against Stade Brestois, his imminent return could be perfectly timed for crucial Ligue 1 and Champions League matches.
Fans eagerly await the striker’s next chapter, hoping his comeback brings more firepower to Monaco’s frontline.
