Fenerbahçe targets Nathan Ngoumou for wing reinforcement

Fenerbahçe Istanbul has set its sights on Nathan Ngoumou, the Borussia Mönchengladbach winger, as a potential addition to their squad.

According to Bild, the Turkish giants have already submitted an initial inquiry for the 24-year-old French-born Cameroonian.

Ngoumou’s season at Gladbach has been far from ideal. In nine Bundesliga appearances, he has started only twice and has yet to find the net, with injuries and muscular issues hampering his form. His limited contributions have opened the door to speculation about his future at the club.

At Fenerbahçe, Ngoumou would provide vital depth on the wings, especially to ease the workload of seasoned playmaker Dušan Tadić. While the Turkish club seems eager, Gladbach might face challenges recouping the €8 million they invested when signing him from Toulouse FC in 2022. With Ngoumou’s market value now hovering at €3.5 million, negotiations could prove critical in determining his next move.

A change of scenery might offer Ngoumou the fresh start he needs to reignite his career on a new stage.
