ELIM CAN U20 SENEGAL 2015: OPTION FOR NIGER, LESOTHO, TUNISIA, TODAY’S RESULTS

The first round of the CAN U20 qualifiers kicked off this Saturday with several notable matches. Tunisia, Niger, and Lesotho emerged as strong contenders for qualification to the next round with convincing victories.
The Tunisian U20 team, known as the Aiglons de Carthage, secured a commanding 3-0 win against Mauritania in Tunis. Chiheb Jebal, Firas Belarbi, and Mahdi Ouedhrefi were the goal scorers for Tunisia.
Meanwhile, Niger’s U20 squad displayed their prowess by defeating Congo 2-0 in Niamey, while Lesotho delivered an impressive performance, securing a 3-0 victory over Swaziland.
However, notable absences were observed, with Equatorial Guinea withdrawing from the tournament, paving the way for Togo’s advancement. Guinea Bissau and South Sudan also withdrew, resulting in automatic qualification for Ivory Coast and Rwanda, respectively.
