Dani Olmo has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite renewed Bayern Munich interest
Dani Olmo has no plans to leave Barcelona, despite renewed interest from Bayern Munich, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Germany club previously explored the possibility of signing Olmo while he was playing for RB Leipzig and is understood to be monitoring the Spain international again. However, no formal offer has been made to either the player or Barcelona so far.
Marca reports that any official approach from Bayern Munich would not be considered because Olmo is not thinking about leaving the Catalan club. Barcelona have also not contemplated selling the 28-year-old midfielder.
Olmo is currently regarded as an important player for both Barcelona and Spain and is enjoying one of the strongest periods of his career. His form has increased his profile and attracted interest from other major clubs.
Some specialist websites estimate his market value at around 60m euros. That figure is very close to the amount Barcelona paid RB Leipzig for him in the summer of 2024.
The midfielder established himself as a highly sought-after player during his time in the Bundesliga. He had previously impressed in the Croatian league while playing for Dinamo Zagreb, and has continued to perform at Camp Nou since joining Barcelona.
Olmo has made 96 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 20 goals and providing 20 assists. He has also played 59 times for Spain.
Bayern Munich are familiar with his quality. The club faced Olmo during his time in Germany and had considered signing him before, while his performances for Barcelona under Hansi Flick and for the Spain national team have continued to attract attention.
Despite the reported interest, Marca says Olmo is settled at Barcelona and has not considered moving away from Camp Nou.
“Dani Olmo is happy at Barcelona and it has not crossed his mind to leave Camp Nou,” the newspaper said. “He wants to continue playing regularly and win trophies with Hansi Flick’s team.”
