CS Sfaxien eye Milutin Sredojević as new head coach
Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien are considering the appointment of Serbian coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Sfax-based club, which secured qualification for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after finishing among the top teams in the Tunisian league, is reportedly keen to entrust the experienced tactician with leading its continental and domestic ambitions.
Micho has emerged as one of the leading candidates for the role as CS Sfaxien seek an experienced coach capable of guiding the club back to major honours.
The 56-year-old boasts an extensive coaching résumé across Africa, having managed some of the continent’s biggest clubs and national teams, including Orlando Pirates, Zamalek SC, Al Hilal Omdurman, as well as the national teams of Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda and Libya.
His wealth of experience in African football is believed to be a major factor behind CS Sfaxien’s interest as the club prepares for the challenges of competing on multiple fronts next season.
Reports indicate that negotiations are ongoing, although Micho is also attracting interest from Ethiopian powerhouse Saint George SC, setting up a potential battle for his signature.
Should an agreement be reached, Micho would take charge of one of Tunisia’s most successful clubs, with the immediate task of mounting a strong CAF Confederation Cup campaign while challenging for domestic honours.
