CO Korhogo reach CAF Confederation Cup second qualifying round after AS PSI victory

CO Korhogo have reached the second qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Chad’s AS PSI 2-0 in Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday evening.

Dao Lassina’s side took control of the first half at Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly and went ahead after 12 minutes. Midfielder Adje Laurent Sandani opened the scoring, sending the home supporters in Poro into celebration.

CO Korhogo extended their advantage 11 minutes into the second half. Butt, who had come on for Andre Marc Any, scored in the 56th minute to put the Ivorian club 2-0 ahead.

That proved to be the final goal of the match as CO Korhogo held on for a convincing victory.

The result, combined with the 2-2 draw in the first leg, sent the Ivorian side through to the second qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
