Ashley Cole is ready for a change after spending most of this season on the bench at Chelsea. The 33-year-old English left-back has announced his departure from the club via his Twitter account.
“I’m currently exploring options for next season with my agent, and sadly it doesn’t look like Chelsea will be one of them. Thanks to Chelsea for these eight years; it was a pleasure working with the staff and players. We’ve experienced highs and lows together. A new adventure awaits me, and I hope it’s filled with joy and victories,” he wrote.
Having joined Chelsea from Arsenal in 2006, Cole has enjoyed a successful spell at Stamford Bridge, winning a Premier League title, four FA Cups, a Europa League, and a Champions League.
