Morocco U-17 goalkeeper, Chouaib Boularouch says he is confident ahead of their final against Mali.
Morocco on Tuesday booked their place in the final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with a 4-3 penalty shootout against Ivory Coast at the Stade El Bachir, Mohammédia.
Boularouch, who emerged as the Man of the Match against the Ivorian, speaking to the media, said, “I invite the Moroccan fans from now on to come and cheer us on and support us, so they can witness the moments of coronation with us.”
“It doesn’t matter who we face because we fear no one. The cup has been our goal since the beginning of the competition, and we are on the right track. The numbers do us justice and confirm that we are the best.
“I am grateful to everyone who celebrated and congratulated me after the achievement (Man of the Match), but I am not targeting individual awards, but rather helping my country win the title.
“We have another talented generation that reflects the awakening of Moroccan football, and we cannot let the cup leave our country,” he added.
Morocco will play its Malian counterpart in the final match on Saturday, April 19, at the Stade El Bachir, Mohammédia, after the latter qualified by defeating Burkina Faso 2-0 earlier on Tuesday.
