CAF Confederation Cup: Al Ahly begin campaign against Uganda’s Kitara

Al Ahly will begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Uganda’s Kitara in the first leg of the round of 32 on Saturday, 17 October.

The match will be played at Kitara’s stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 16:00. It will be Al Ahly’s opening continental fixture of the current season.

The game will be broadcast on On Sport. The second leg, which will be played in Egypt, will be shown exclusively on Al Ahly’s channel.

The winner of the tie will qualify directly for the group stage.

Al Ahly enter the competition after finishing third in the Egyptian Premier League last season. They currently lead the league on a temporary basis after beating Zamalek 2-0 in matchweek six.

Their position at the top is subject to the outcome of Pyramids’ match against Modern Sport.
