Bayern Munich determined to keep Michael Olise

Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Michael Olise this summer despite strong interest from Real Madrid, according to German journalist Christian Falk of Bild.

The French winger has been one of Bayern’s standout performers, impressing both in the Bundesliga and at the World Cup, where he has become a key attacking outlet. Reports in Spain had suggested Real were preparing a huge offer, but Bayern are described as unwilling to part with their “gold nugget” at any price.

Olise’s importance to Bayern has grown rapidly since he joined from Crystal Palace on 7 July 2024, signing a five-year contract through to June 2029.

He made his Bundesliga debut on 25 August 2024 in a 3-2 away win over Wolfsburg, starting on the right wing under Vincent Kompany, and scored his first league goal against Bayer Leverkusen in a 4-0 home victory that September.

Last season, he produced 15 goals and 19 assists in all competitions for Bayern, finishing second in the Bundesliga scoring chart behind Harry Kane and adding five assists at the World Cup.

With those numbers, Bayern see Olise as central to their project and are standing firm against Madrid’s advances.
