Ayman Mansour departs Al Masry as defender ends second spell with Port Said club

Al Masry have confirmed that defender Ahmed Ayman Mansour has left the club following the end of his second spell in Port Said.

The Egyptian Premier League side announced his departure in an official statement on their Facebook page, thanking the 32-year-old for his service and the role he played across his two stints with the team.

Mansour spent the second half of last season away from Al Masry on loan at Modern Sport, having fallen out of the regular starting line-up at his parent club.

The experienced defender first joined Al Masry in 2015 and remained there for three seasons until 2018, becoming a regular figure in the side during that period.

He later returned to the Port Said outfit in the summer of 2023, signing from Zamalek to begin a second spell with Al Masry.

Across both periods at the club, Mansour made a total of 107 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing eight assists.

Al Masry used their social media channels to publicly acknowledge his contribution, posting a message of appreciation to mark his exit, but did not disclose any details regarding his next destination or the nature of his departure.

No further information was given on whether Mansour’s exit followed the expiry of his contract, a mutual termination, or a transfer agreement, and the club have not indicated any plans to replace him at this stage.

Mansour, who is primarily deployed across the back line, leaves having been part of Al Masry squads over two different eras, separated by his time away from the club, including his spell with Zamalek and subsequent return to Port Said.

His second stint, beginning with his move from Zamalek in 2023, concluded with his loan to Modern Sport and now a confirmed departure, bringing an end to a relationship with Al Masry that has spanned more than a decade from his initial arrival.
