Atlas Lions kick off AFCON 2023 preparations at the prestigious Mohammed VI complex
The Atlas Lions initiated their preparation with an invigorating training session at the esteemed Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora on Tuesday, January 2. Under the astute guidance of coach Walid Regragui, the summoned players exuded enthusiasm as they embarked on this pivotal phase in anticipation of the upcoming continental football spectacle.
Among the new faces joining the distinguished roster, Mohamed Chibi conveyed his elation, stating, “My summons really delighted me. I’ve been waiting for a long time to get my chance.
I hope to live up to the expectations of the national coach and all Moroccans. As a group, we are fully aware of our responsibilities. We are going to Ivory Coast with one goal: to win the title.”
Chadi Riad, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, remarked, “We are full of hope as AFCON 2023 approaches. We are full of hope and will. It’s a dream to join the selection, I worked tirelessly to achieve it. I feel lucky to be here.”
