Aston Villa are working on a new contract for manager Unai Emery that would keep him at the club beyond the summer of 2029.
The Spanish coach’s current deal with Villa expires at the end of the 2028-29 season, but the club are keen to secure his longer-term future.
The Athletic reports that the renewal plan, led by club chairman Nassef Sawiris, also includes new contracts for the officials overseeing football matters, Roberto Olabe and Damian Vidagany.
Emery is happy to continue working with Aston Villa, having taken charge in November 2022 after leaving Villarreal.
Since his appointment, the 54-year-old has managed the club in 212 matches, recording 116 wins, 37 draws and 59 defeats.
He also guided Aston Villa to Europa League success last season.
Aston Villa currently sit 10th in the table with 12 points from their opening nine matches. Their record consists of three wins, three draws and three defeats.
