Anderlecht consider move for Wolves midfielder Boubacar Traore

Mali midfielder Boubacar Traore, currently with Wolves, has been linked with a move to RSC Anderlecht in Belgium.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder is being associated with a switch from the Championship to the Jupiler Pro League, with his current contract at Wolves due to expire on 30 June 2027.

Traore has made two Championship appearances for Wolves this season, playing 28 minutes in total, and has also featured once in the EFL Cup. He has not scored or provided an assist in those outings.

The midfielder returned to Wolves on 30 June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at FC Metz. He initially joined the English club from Metz in July 2023 in a deal worth €11m, having previously spent time at Wolves on loan during the 2022-23 campaign.

Traore began his professional career with FC Metz after leaving AS Bamako in 2019. He also helped Mali Under-20s win the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.

A move to Anderlecht would represent a return to continental football for Traore, but the available information does not indicate that an agreement has been reached or provide details of any proposed fee. For now, he remains a Wolves player under contract through the end of the 2026-27 season.
