Al-Entesar strengthen midfield with Nigeria’s Ukeme Williams
Nigeria midfielder Ukeme Williams has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Entesar from Al-Nojoom on a free transfer.
The move was completed on 2 September 2026, bringing the 26-year-old central midfielder to Al-Entesar after one season with Al-Nojoom. Williams is right-footed and was born in Lagos on 12 September 1999.
Williams joined Al-Nojoom from Nigerian club Shooting Stars on 21 September 2025, also on a free transfer. His latest move continues a career that has taken him between clubs in Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
The midfielder has accumulated 96 appearances in the Nigerian Professional Football League, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists. He has also played 13 times in the CAF Confederation Cup, where he recorded one goal and one assist.
Williams began his senior career with Bendel Insurance before moving to Kanemi Warriors in January 2018. He joined Wikki Tourists the following year and then switched to Akwa United in January 2020. During the 2020-21 season, he helped Akwa United win the Nigerian championship.
After leaving Akwa United, Williams joined Uzbekistan club Mash’al in January 2021. He returned to Nigeria with Gombe United in January 2022 before moving to Rivers United in August that year. His time with Rivers United preceded a move to Iraq’s Maysan SC in October 2024.
Williams later returned to Nigeria with Shooting Stars in January 2025, making Al-Nojoom his next destination before completing his latest switch.
The midfielder has now signed for Al-Entesar as a free agent following his departure from Al-Nojoom.
