Akram Tawfik has returned to Al Ahly training after recovering from a cold that ruled him out of the team’s friendly against Misr El Makasa.
Tawfik was back with his team-mates as Al Ahly resumed preparations following the rest day given to the players on Saturday. The club are preparing for the return of official competition after the international break.
Head coach Hussein Ammouta held a meeting with the squad before training began, discussing several tactical matters and outlining the team’s work programme for the coming period.
The session opened with physical exercises before the players moved on to ball-based technical drills. The work formed part of Al Ahly’s preparations for their next competitive fixture.
Al Ahly will begin their official campaign by facing Petrol Asyut on 7 October in the Egypt Capital Cup.
The club have played two friendlies during the current international break. They beat Libyan side Al-Ittihad Al-Misrati 4-2 before recording a 3-0 victory over Misr El Makasa.
