African football transfer latest: Odede, Bitshiabu and Dagba among five players on the move

Troyes winger Elijah Olaniyi Odede has joined Lommel SK on a season-long loan, while El Chadaille Bitshiabu has moved from RB Leipzig to Galatasaray, as several African players changed clubs on 4 September 2026.

The 19-year-old Nigerian winger will spend the 2026/27 campaign with Lommel SK in the Jupiler Pro League. The loan agreement does not include an option to buy.

ESTAC Troyes confirmed the move in a statement published on its X account. Odede joined the French club last summer and remains under contract there until 30 June 2030. His current market value is estimated at €600,000.

The transfer was one of a number of deals involving African footballers reported throughout the day.

Bitshiabu joins Galatasaray

Galatasaray have signed France-born Democratic Republic of the Congo defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu from RB Leipzig on a one-year loan.

The Turkish club announced the arrival of the 21-year-old centre-back on X. The agreement includes an option for Galatasaray to make the move permanent.

Bitshiabu, who was developed by Paris Saint-Germain, is contracted to RB Leipzig until 30 June 2029. His estimated market value is €18m.

Zagadou loaned to Cercle Bruges

Cercle Bruges have announced the arrival of Ivorian forward Prince Zagadou from FC LYS Sassandra.

The 18-year-old has joined the Belgian club on a season-long loan, with an option to buy. He will feature for Jong Cercle, the club’s reserve team.

Cercle Bruges confirmed the signing on its Instagram account.

Keller heads to Belgium

Cameroon centre-back Stephane Keller is set to leave Al Ittihad temporarily after agreeing to join SK Beveren on loan for one season.

The move was reported by journalist Ben Jacobs. Keller will now look to establish himself in Belgium and continue his development with his new club.

The defender remains under contract with Al Ittihad until 30 June 2029. His market value is estimated at €400,000.

Dagba finds new club in Italy

France-born Benin right-back Colin Dagba has signed for Carrarese after being without a club since 1 July 2026.

Carrarese, who play in Serie B, confirmed the transfer on Instagram. The 27-year-old has agreed a contract running until 30 June 2028, with the option of extending it by a further year.

Dagba’s estimated market value is €500,000.
