Bayern Munich confirm Manuel Neuer injury after Mainz victory

Bayern Munich have confirmed that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer suffered a partial tear to one of the tendons in his right foot during the club’s 2-1 win over Mainz.

The 40-year-old will be unavailable for the coming period, although Bayern have not given an expected return date.

The injury is Neuer’s second since the start of the current season.

Neuer has made nine appearances for Bayern this season, keeping four clean sheets and conceding six goals.
