Paris Saint-Germain rest Achraf Hakimi ahead of Troyes fixture

Paris Saint-Germain will leave Achraf Hakimi out of Saturday’s Ligue 1 match against Troyes as the club seeks to protect the Morocco international from fatigue.

The right-back has been given a short break after a demanding period of the season. Paris Saint-Germain will host Troyes on 07 November 2026, with Hakimi’s absence confirmed by the club’s coaching staff and sporting director.

In an official statement, Paris Saint-Germain said the decision had been taken jointly by the manager and sporting director.

“By agreement with the coach and the sporting director, Achraf Hakimi will benefit from a period of rest until the start of the international break,” the club said.

The decision reflects Hakimi’s workload since the beginning of the season and is intended to ensure he does not suffer from excessive fatigue before joining Morocco.

Hakimi is expected to travel to Morocco next week to report for the national team’s camp. Morocco are due to play two matches against Niger during the international period, including an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture on 13 November 2026.

With Hakimi unavailable against Troyes, Paris Saint-Germain are expected to give David Boli the opportunity to play at right-back.
