Manchester United linked with Manchester City’s Rayan Ait-Nouri

Algerian-French left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is being linked with a move from Manchester City to Manchester United in a Premier League transfer rumour.

Ait-Nouri, 25, joined City from Wolves in June 2025 for a reported €36.8m and remains under contract until 30 June 2030. The proposed switch would therefore be a move between two Manchester clubs, with United identified as his potential destination.

The defender has made limited Premier League appearances for City this season, but has featured in both the Champions League and EFL Cup. He has started two EFL Cup matches and recorded two assists, while also contributing one assist in two Champions League appearances.

Ait-Nouri was part of City’s FA Cup-winning side in 2026 and has also won the English League Cup since arriving at the club. His current market value is listed at €35m.

He played in all four of Algeria’s matches at the 2026 World Cup, starting 75% of those games and featuring for 79% of the available minutes.

Ait-Nouri began his senior career at Angers before moving to Wolves, initially on loan, and later completed a permanent transfer to the Premier League club. His current position at City is complicated by his lack of league appearances this season, although his long-term contract means any potential move would not be a free transfer.
