Mohamed Salah turns down €25m-a-year offer from Al Shabab

Mohamed Salah has reportedly rejected a lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab, choosing instead to remain with Trabzonspor.

According to Turkish outlet Ankara Masası, Al Shabab attempted to sign the Egypt international by offering him a guaranteed annual salary of €25m.

Despite the substantial financial value of the deal, Salah is said to have decided to continue his career with the Turkish club. His decision underlines his commitment to Trabzonspor and his desire to keep playing in its colours.

Salah has also reportedly asked his representative, Ramy Abbas, not to pass on any further transfer proposals. The request would indicate that the forward intends to remain in the Turkish league rather than consider a move elsewhere.

The decision comes after an impressive start to the season. Salah has scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 13 appearances in all competitions, giving him 15 direct goal contributions.

Those performances have attracted interest from several potential suitors, but Salah has opted for continuity with Trabzonspor.

The Egyptian is under contract with Trabzonspor until 30 June 2028. His estimated market value is €17m.

Trabzonspor’s next fixture is against Freiburg in the third matchday of the Conference League league phase. The listed odds for the game are 2.15 for a Trabzonspor victory, 3.50 for a draw and 2.55 for a Freiburg win.
