PSG consider January move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza

Bayer Leverkusen are working to secure Ibrahim Maza’s long-term future amid growing interest from Paris Saint-Germain and other European heavyweights.

According to Sky Germany, Leverkusen want to extend the contract of the 20-year-old Algeria international, whose current deal runs until 2030. However, negotiations are expected to take time, with no immediate agreement anticipated.

Maza has attracted attention through his performances since joining Leverkusen, with the Bundesliga club viewing the attacking midfielder as an important part of their long-term sporting plans.

The interest from PSG is reportedly serious, with the French club having already communicated its intentions to Maza’s representatives and considering a move in the January 2027 transfer window. Manchester City had also explored the possibility of signing him last summer.

Leverkusen, however, are determined to retain the Algeria international and are working towards an improved contract that would reflect his growing importance to the team.

For now, no official transfer bid or agreement has been confirmed. With Maza contracted until 2030, Leverkusen remain in a strong position as they attempt to fend off interest from Europe’s leading clubs.
