Napoli linked with Nuremberg striker Mohamed Ali Zoma after prolific start
Italian-Ivorian second striker Mohamed Ali Zoma has been linked with a move from 1. FC Nuremberg to Napoli, with the Serie A club monitoring the 22-year-old after his strong start to the season.
Zoma has scored seven goals in eight 2. Bundesliga appearances for Nuremberg during the 2026-27 campaign, playing 80% of the available minutes and starting 89% of the matches. He has also made one appearance in the DFB-Pokal.
The forward joined Nuremberg from Italian club UC AlbinoLeffe on 19 August 2025 for a reported €1.5m fee. His market value is currently listed at €20m, reflecting the rapid rise in his profile since moving to Germany.
Zoma was born in Merate, Italy, on 15 December 2003 and is eligible to represent both Italy and Cote d’Ivoire. His current deal with Nuremberg runs until 30 June 2029, meaning the German club is under no immediate pressure to sell.
Napoli’s interest remains at the rumour stage, with no transfer agreement or fee reported. Zoma’s performances have nevertheless placed him on the radar of the Serie A side as they assess attacking options for a possible move from the 2. Bundesliga to Italy’s top flight.
