Zamalek to lift ban on striker Nasser Mansi

Zamalek are considering lifting the suspension imposed on striker Nasser Mansi following his apology to the technical staff, with the Egyptian forward potentially returning to the squad after the club’s upcoming Egyptian Premier League clash against Al Mokawloon Al Arab.

The White Knights are scheduled to face Al Mokawloon next Wednesday in the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League, with kick-off set for 8:00 pm Cairo time.

Mansi was suspended and referred for an internal investigation after throwing his shirt following his goal in Zamalek’s first-leg match in the round of 32 of the CAF Champions League.

The incident prompted disciplinary action from the club as they sought to address the striker’s conduct and maintain discipline within the squad.

However, the situation appears to be moving towards a resolution after Mansi reportedly apologised to the technical staff for his actions.

There is now a growing possibility within Zamalek’s technical department that the suspension could be lifted after the encounter against Al Mokawloon, although his immediate availability for the league fixture remains uncertain.

The potential decision would offer Mansi a route back into contention as Zamalek continue their campaign across domestic and continental competitions. His return could also provide the coaching staff with another attacking option as they seek to maintain consistency in the league.

Zamalek have made a solid start to their Egyptian Premier League campaign, sitting third in the standings with 16 points from seven matches.

The Cairo-based club will therefore be keen to maintain their position near the top of the table when they face Al Mokawloon, while the situation surrounding Mansi remains one to watch in the coming days.

For now, the striker’s disciplinary case appears to be heading towards a possible resolution following his apology, but any formal lifting of the suspension will depend on the club’s final decision.
