Al-Nassr are expected to activate an option to extend Joao Felix’s contract by two seasons, according to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah.
The decision rests solely with the club under the agreement signed with the Portugal international in the summer of 2025. No outside party can prevent Al-Nassr from exercising the option or make a competing offer for the player if the club decides to use its contractual right.
Al-Nassr must activate the extension before May 2027.
The new agreement would keep Felix at the club for a further two seasons and increase his annual salary from 10m euros to 12.5m euros.
However, Al-Nassr’s proposed package is expected to go beyond the financial terms already included in the original contract. The club’s management is planning to offer additional benefits that were not part of the initial agreement, in an effort to retain the player for the coming period.
Felix, 26, joined Al-Nassr in July 2025 and signed a contract running until the summer of 2027.
The Portugal international quickly became an important member of the squad during his first season and helped the team win the Saudi League title.
Since arriving at the Riyadh-based club, Felix has made 59 appearances in all competitions. He has scored 31 goals and provided 24 assists.
