Inzaghi has no plans to leave Al Hilal for Juventus, says agent

Simone Inzaghi is not considering leaving Al Hilal to take charge of Juventus, according to his agent Federico Pastorello.

The former Inter and Lazio manager has been linked with the Juventus job from next season by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, amid growing pressure on current head coach Luciano Spalletti.

However, Pastorello told Saudi newspaper Al Riyadiah that Inzaghi remains fully focused on his work with Al Hilal.

“Everything is going well for Inzaghi at Al Hilal, and he is not currently thinking about anything related to Italy or any other league,” Pastorello said.

“Inzaghi’s focus is on Al Hilal and making up for what happened last season.”

Al Hilal currently lead the league standings with 27 points.

Inzaghi was appointed by the Saudi club in May 2025, shortly before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, replacing interim manager Mohammed Al-Shalhoub.

According to Transfermarkt, he has overseen 66 matches during his time in charge of Al Hilal. The team have won 51 of those games, drawn 12 and lost three.

Juventus weighing up future options

Spalletti is facing increasing pressure after Juventus made a difficult start to the current Serie A campaign. The club have collected 11 points from their opening seven matches, recording three wins, two draws and two defeats.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus officials do not currently want to change their coaching staff during the season, particularly because Spalletti’s contract runs until 2028.

That position could change if results fail to improve in the coming months. Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte are among the names being considered as potential temporary replacements if Juventus decide to dismiss Spalletti during the campaign.

If Spalletti reaches the end of the season without meeting the club’s minimum objective of qualifying for the Champions League, Juventus could instead appoint a new manager to lead the project from the following season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport identified Inzaghi as one of the leading candidates for the role, citing his extensive experience in Serie A, his ability to develop players and his understanding of what is required to compete for major honours.

Inzaghi guided Inter to the Serie A title in the 2023-24 season. He has also won the Coppa Italia twice and the Italian Super Cup three times, and led Inter to the Champions League final in 2023 and 2025.

He is currently continuing his work with Al Hilal after making a significant impact during his spell at Inter. His name is therefore among the possible options for Juventus if the club’s management decides to make a change at the head of the team after the current season.
