Champions League: Real Madrid and Como win as Bayern Munich and Arsenal draw

Real Madrid beat RB Leipzig 4-1 while Como produced the biggest surprise of Wednesday’s Champions League action by defeating Manchester United by the same score.

The results came on the third matchday of the UEFA Champions League league phase, with nine games played on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.

Real Madrid’s victory was secured by goals from Bernardo Silva, Arda Guler, Kylian Mbappe and Yan Diomande. The Ivory Coast international came on as a substitute to score and provide an assist against his former club, RB Leipzig.

Como’s emphatic win against Manchester United was one of the standout results of the evening. There was also a surprise in Lisbon, where LASK won 3-2 away to Sporting CP.

Galatasaray claimed a six-goal contest against Lille, winning 4-2, while Club Bruges recorded a convincing 3-0 victory over Lens.

Inter Milan secured a narrow win against Shakhtar Donetsk despite being reduced to 10 men following Alessandro Bastoni’s dismissal. Carlos Augusto scored the only goal of the match.

Aston Villa beat Viking 3-1, and Real Betis defeated Feyenoord 1-0 thanks to a penalty converted by Isco.

Bayern Munich and Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw in one of the evening’s most closely contested matches.
