Yan Diomande tops Europe’s dribbling charts ahead of Mbappe and Yamal

Yan Diomande has emerged as the most effective dribbler in Europe’s five major domestic leagues this season, recording a success rate of 70%, according to statistics from PopFoot.

The young Ivorian forward has drawn attention for his ability to beat opponents and create openings with the ball at his feet. His efficiency in one-on-one situations places him at the top of a ranking that includes several of the biggest names in world football.

Desire Doue, the Franco-Ivorian, is second with a 67% success rate, while Egypt’s Omar Marmoush completes the top three on 66%.

The figures underline Diomande’s technical quality and his ability to make the difference in individual duels. His impact comes not simply from attempting to take on defenders, but from the high proportion of those challenges he successfully completes.

Kylian Mbappe is next among the leading players, with a dribbling success rate of 58%. He is followed by Georgia international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on 57% and England midfielder Jude Bellingham on 55%.

Senegal’s Assane Dia records 54%, while Spain winger Lamine Yamal, widely recognised for his direct attacking style, has a success rate of 49% in the ranking.

Diomande’s position at the summit highlights the importance of his one-on-one play. Successfully eliminating a defender can create space, unsettle a defensive structure and open opportunities for an attack to develop.

With 70% of his dribbles completed, Diomande is establishing himself as one of the players to watch in European football. The performance further illustrates his potential and has increased attention on the Ivorian talent.
