The Egyptian Football Association has called a general assembly for Saturday, 19 December 2026, while also forming a committee to oversee the development of its media operations.
The decisions were announced in an official statement following a meeting of the association’s board on Monday.
The board approved the invitation for the Egyptian Football Association’s general assembly to convene next December. No further details about the agenda were provided.
It also agreed to contact the Arab Football Federation about staging the Arab Beach Soccer Championship in Port Said.
The meeting addressed the association’s media policies, with the board agreeing that the structure and approach of its media operations should be developed.
A committee has been appointed to examine and approve a plan for that work. It will be chaired by vice-president Khaled El-Dirndaly and include board members Mustafa Abu Zahra and Enas Mazhar.
“The committee will present the recommendations it reaches during the next meeting of the board,” the Egyptian Football Association said.
The board also approved the resignation of Mahmoud Ashour, a member of the referees committee.
In addition, members were briefed on the outcome of a meeting involving Egyptian Football Association president Hany Abu Rida, Khaled El-Dirndaly and the Egypt national team’s coaching staff, led by the twin brothers Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan.
