Ezzalzouli helps Real Betis climb above Real Madrid with Osasuna victory

Real Betis moved into third place in La Liga after Abdessamad Ezzalzouli scored in a 5-2 win over Osasuna at La Cartuja in Seville on Sunday, 11 October 2026.

The result lifted Manuel Pellegrini’s side to 19 points after eight matches, taking them above Real Madrid, who have 18 points and dropped to fourth.

Isco opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 10th minute before Ezzalzouli doubled the advantage 21 minutes later.

The Morocco international received a pass through the middle from Juan “Cucho” Hernandez, broke clear of Osasuna goalkeeper Aitor Fernandez and finished accurately into the net.

Ezzalzouli started the match and remained on the pitch until the second minute of stoppage time, when he was replaced by Jose Antonio Morante.

Real Betis extended their lead shortly after half-time when Osasuna striker Ante Budimir turned the ball into his own net.

The visitors responded quickly, with Budimir making amends by scoring Osasuna’s first goal before Raul Garcia added another to reduce the deficit to 3-2.

Isco restored Real Betis’ two-goal advantage in the 67th minute, scoring his second goal of the match, before Morante completed the victory in the sixth minute of added time.

Morante finished from a pass by Hector Bellerin to seal a convincing win for the Andalusian side and maintain their position ahead of Real Madrid in the table.
