Hamza Abdelkarim completes full Barcelona training ahead of Galatasaray Champions League match

Hamza Abdelkarim took part in a full Barcelona training session on Sunday, only hours after making a substitute appearance in the 3-0 win over Getafe.

The Egypt international came on in the 81st minute for Gabriel Jesus at the Estadio Coliseum. The match marked Abdelkarim’s second appearance for Barcelona since his senior-team involvement began.

The 18-year-old previously played five minutes against Rayo Vallecano on matchday three of the league. His name has appeared in Barcelona’s squad for every match this season.

Barcelona said the players who were substitutes against Getafe completed a separate session from the starters and took part in additional on-pitch work. Frenkie de Jong was also included in that group.

The players who started against Getafe, meanwhile, carried out recovery and rehabilitation exercises following the match.

The training session came two days before Barcelona’s second Champions League match of the season, against Galatasaray at the Turkish club’s stadium.
