Amad Diallo backs Kobbie Mainoo to become Premier League’s best
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has tipped Kobbie Mainoo to become one of the Premier League’s outstanding players, praising the midfielder’s talent and determination to overcome a difficult period under former manager Ruben Amorim.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Ivory Coast international identified Mainoo as the best young player in the English top flight, highlighting his maturity and quality despite his age.
“The best young player in EPL? It’s Kobbie Mainoo. How he plays, he has a lot of experience now, for his age he’s unbelievable,” Amad said.
The winger also praised Mainoo’s response to the limited opportunities he received during Amorim’s tenure, noting how the midfielder continued working hard to demonstrate his abilities.
“He’s been pushing because he’s come through a difficult moment when Amorim was here. He’s worked hard and taken that moment to show that he can be the best player in the league,” Amad added.
Mainoo’s progress has also impressed teammate Carlos Baleba, who praised the England international’s intensity during training sessions at Carrington.
“In training, playing in the same position, he was faster than me. He goes hard on me, but I like that. He’s really good,” Baleba said.
Mainoo has since re-established himself as a key figure at Manchester United under Michael Carrick, rewarding the club’s faith with strong performances. His teammates’ praise reflects the growing confidence in his ability to become one of the Premier League’s leading midfielders.
