Cole Palmer has committed his future to Chelsea by signing a one-year contract extension that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The 24-year-old England international joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has since helped the club win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Palmer said he was pleased to extend his stay and believes Chelsea are progressing in the right direction.
“Chelsea means a lot to me, and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign, and I’m obviously very happy,” he said.
The attacking midfielder said conversations with Chelsea’s owners, sporting directors and manager gave him the confidence to make a long-term commitment to the club.
“Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence, so it was only right to sign,” Palmer added.
He also pointed to the shared ambition within the squad and said he wanted to help Chelsea win more major honours.
“Everyone has the same ambitions. I feel like we win major trophies here consistently and I want to be a part of that and play a big role in it too,” he said.
Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture is against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with Palmer now tied to the club until 2034.
