Pirates and Sundowns confirm line-ups for sold-out MTN8 final

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have named their starting line-ups for the MTN8 final at a sold-out Moses Mabhida Stadium on 10 October 2026.

Pirates are aiming to win the competition for a fifth consecutive year, while coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is seeking his second MTN8 title with the club.

The Buccaneers have yet to lose a match in all competitions this season. Their Betway Premiership campaign has produced six wins and one draw.

Pirates’ most recent match before the extended FIFA break ended in a 2-0 victory over Marumo Gallants.

Mamelodi Sundowns also enter the final with confidence after defeating Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli to progress in the FIFA Continental Cup before the international break.

The teams last faced each other during the previous league campaign, when Sundowns recorded a 2-1 win over Pirates.
