Fabian Hurzeler has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for September after guiding Brighton to two wins and a draw during an unbeaten month.
The German, who manages Brighton, received the award from the English Football Association after being shortlisted alongside Enzo Maresca of Manchester City and Andoni Iraola of Liverpool.
Brighton’s standout result came in their 3-0 victory over Arsenal in the fifth round of the Premier League. That win formed part of a strong run for Hurzeler’s side, who avoided defeat throughout September.
The award completes a successful month for Brighton, who also claimed the Premier League Player of the Month prize through Pascal Groß.
Brighton are third in the Premier League table with 10 points from five matches. Their record consists of three wins, one draw and one defeat.
The Seagulls will return to action against Sunderland on Saturday, 10 October, in the sixth round of the Premier League following the current international break.
