Pascal Groß has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September after helping Brighton record two wins and a draw during the month.
The Germany international scored twice and provided three assists for Brighton, with his most notable contribution coming in a 3-0 victory over Arsenal in the fifth round of the Premier League.
Groß, who plays for Brighton, was selected for the award by the English Football Association after competing against seven other nominees.
The shortlist included Liverpool striker Alexander Isak of Sweden, Leeds United player Jayden Bogle, Hull City’s Algeria international Mohamed Belloumi, Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo of Ghana, Brentford’s Germany international Kevin Schade, Brighton player Charalampos Kostoulas of Greece and Liverpool’s France international Jeremy Jacquet.
Brighton’s results in September have left them third in the Premier League table on 10 points. Their record comprises three wins, one draw and one defeat.
The Seagulls’ next fixture is against Sunderland on Saturday, 10 October, in the sixth round of the Premier League, following the current international break.
