Konrad Laimer has been included in Austria’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures after recovering from an adductor problem, providing Bayern Munich with a fitness boost.

The 29-year-old midfielder missed Austria’s 3-1 victories against Israel and Kosovo last week as he continued his rehabilitation. He was also unavailable for Bayern’s 7-0 Bundesliga win over Union Berlin before the international break while building up his fitness.

Laimer’s recall indicates he is progressing well and could now be considered for Bayern’s next league fixture against Augsburg.

Austria play Ireland on October 1 before facing Kosovo again on October 4, meaning Laimer could potentially return to action during the international break.

Bayern’s Bundesliga campaign resumes on Saturday, October 10, when they travel to the WWK Arena to face Augsburg.
