Kevin Boma scores first Red Bull Salzburg goal of the season

Kevin Boma scored his first goal of the season for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian championship as his side beat Sturm Graz 3-0 on Sunday.

The Togo international started in defence in the seventh round of the league and helped Red Bull Salzburg secure a convincing victory.

Boma doubled his team’s advantage in the 76th minute, giving Red Bull Salzburg a decisive lead in the match. It was the 23-year-old’s first league goal of the campaign.

The goal adds to an encouraging start to the season for the defender. Boma now has one goal and one assist from six league appearances.

Although his main responsibilities come in defence, the contribution against Sturm Graz underlined his usefulness in the attacking phase as well.

Boma is under contract with Red Bull Salzburg until June 2031. His current market value is estimated at €6m by Transfermarkt.

The first goal of the season represents another step in the Togo international’s growing involvement within the Austrian club’s squad.
