Barcelona face Sevilla seeking seventh straight league win

FC Barcelona travel to face Sevilla FC on Saturday, 19 September 2026, aiming to maintain their perfect start to the Spanish championship season.

Hansi Flick’s side have won all six of their opening matches and sit top of the table with 18 points. They have already scored 28 goals, including a 7-2 victory over Racing Santander in their most recent outing.

The match will be played at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.

Sevilla have also made a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign. They have collected 13 points from six matches after four wins, one draw and one defeat, leaving them fourth in the table.

The Andalusian club have won their past two games, beating Valencia 1-0 at home before securing a 0-1 victory away to Deportivo La Coruna. Those results followed a 1-1 draw at Espanyol and a 1-3 defeat by Atletico.

Sevilla’s defence has remained well organised, while their away performances have been particularly effective. They face a Barcelona side who have been unbeaten and highly productive in attack, with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal among the players in outstanding form.

Barcelona have also defeated Levante 2-4 and Valencia 0-5 this season. Their aggressive style under Flick has enabled them to score heavily in each of their matches.

Head-to-head record

Barcelona have the clear advantage in the overall record between the clubs, winning 119 of their 204 official meetings. Sevilla have won 46, while the other 39 matches ended in draws.

Barcelona have scored 430 goals in those fixtures, compared with 250 for Sevilla.

The Catalan club have won eight of the past 10 meetings, with one draw and one defeat. Sevilla’s most notable recent success came in October 2025, when they claimed a 4-1 home victory.

The source’s prediction is for Barcelona to win 3-1, with Sevilla expected to remain compact but potentially struggle against the visitors’ pressing and attacking transitions. Although the hosts are considered capable of scoring, Barcelona’s attacking strength is expected to prove decisive.
