Guinea include Serhou Guirassy and returning Ilaix Moriba in Africa Cup of Nations squad

Guinea have announced their squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Kenya, with Serhou Guirassy included and Ilaix Moriba recalled after several months away.

Former captain Naby Keita is among the notable absentees, while forwards Morgan Guilavogui and Mohamed Bayo have also been left out of the squad.

Despite those omissions, Guinea’s coaching staff have selected a group combining experience and youth. The team will be led by established figures including Guirassy, while Moriba’s return provides another experienced option in midfield.

The squad is:

Goalkeepers: Soumaila Sylla, Mory Keita, Mohamed Camara (Richard).

Midfielders: Madiou Keita, Lass Kourouna, Seydouba Cisse, Ilaix Moriba, Ousmane Diabate, Sory Bangoura.

Forwards: Morlaye Sylla, Aguibou Camara, Diaby Yadaly, Aliou Balde, Mohamed Bangoura, Ousmane Camara, Serhou Guirassy, Abdoul Traore, Lamine Diaby-Fadiga.
