Kaizer Chiefs will begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Zambia’s Red Arrows in the second preliminary round.

The Soweto club received a bye through the first preliminary round after being included among the seeded teams.

Red Arrows secured the tie with a 2-0 victory over FC Rogue in the second leg on Sunday afternoon, completing a 4-0 aggregate win.

Fernando da Cruz’s side will now face the Zambian club in the first stage of their continental campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs reached the group stages of the competition for the first time in their history last season, when they defeated Congolese side AS Simba in the second preliminary round.

The first leg against Red Arrows is scheduled to take place between 16 and 18 October. The return leg will be played the following weekend.
