Simon Banza is expected to arrive in Greece on 11 September 2026 after PAOK Salonique agreed a loan deal for the 30-year-old Congo international.
Greek outlet Gazzetta reports that Banza is due to land in Thessaloniki today, with PAOK Salonique looking to add experience to their attack and provide another option for manager Alessio Lisi.
Banza has played for Lens, Famalicao and Braga during a notable European career. He spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Trabzonspor before Braga sold him to Al Jazira for 8.5 million euros. The centre-forward will now temporarily leave the Emirati club for a move to Greece.
Gueye joins Teungueth FC
Teungueth FC have strengthened their attack with the signing of Alassane Gueye as they prepare to defend their title.
The move ends the Senegalese forward’s time at US Ouakam, where he had recently established himself as the team’s leading attacking player in Ligue 1. Gueye scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists during his spell with the club.
Earlier in 2026, Gueye underwent trials in France with Amiens, but a permanent transfer was not completed.
Paraiso signs two-year deal in Oman
Junior Paraiso will continue his career in Oman after joining Fanja Club, who confirmed the arrival of the 25-year-old midfielder on their social media channels.
Fanja Club were recently promoted to the first division. Paraiso has signed a two-season contract that will run until 2028, following spells with Ibri Club and Al Wahda SC.
The Benin midfielder began his career in his home country, spending seven years with US Seme Krake, ASVO, Real Sports, Dragons de l’Oueme and Buffles du Borgou. He moved to the Middle East in 2024 after coming through the Black Star academy in Mali.
Cherif Baba Yaya moves to Ilkeston Town
Benin midfielder Cherif Baba Yaya, 19, has joined Ilkeston Town on a three-month loan in the Northern Premier League.
The move comes one year after he arrived in England from Rio Ave in the summer of 2025. Ilkeston Town announced the deal on their social media channels.
The transfer was made possible by the close partnership between the Northern Premier League club and the Nottingham Forest academy.
Eichie nearing Pogon Szczecin contract
Isaiah Eichie is training with Pogon Szczecin and is expected to sign for the Polish club, according to Dominik Markiewicz.
The 18-year-old German-Nigerian right-back has been a free agent since the beginning of July. He developed at Bayer Leverkusen from the under-15 level through to the under-19s and trained with the first-team squad last season.
His recruitment has been strongly backed by Pogon Szczecin sporting director Benjamin Schunk, who worked with Eichie during his previous role within Bayer Leverkusen’s academy.
