Zakaria Atteri leaves KAS Eupen to become a free agent

France-Morocco winger Zakaria Atteri has left KAS Eupen and joined the ranks of unattached players, bringing an end to his spell with the Belgian Challenger Pro League club.

Atteri’s departure was completed on 3 September 2026, shortly after the start of the 2026-27 campaign. The 24-year-old had been with Eupen since July 2025, having arrived from RFC Luttich.

The right winger did not make an appearance for Eupen in the two possible Challenger Pro League matches recorded this season. He leaves the club with his next destination undecided, while remaining available as a player without a club.

Born in Ukkel, Belgium, Atteri holds French and Moroccan nationality. He stands 1.90m tall and is a left-footed attacker who operates primarily on the right flank.

His move to Eupen followed a spell with RFC Luttich, which he joined from FCV Dender EH in September 2023. Atteri spent the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons with Luttich before switching clubs.

He began his development in Belgium, joining Diegem’s youth setup from KV Mechelen in 2012. He later moved to Mouscron’s youth ranks in 2016 and progressed to Mouscron Under-21s before beginning his senior career.

Atteri also spent part of the 2021-22 season on loan at R Knokke FC from Mouscron Under-21s. He returned to Mouscron before moving to FCV Dender EH in July 2022.

The winger’s market value is listed at €350,000, with his highest recorded valuation standing at €400,000. No transfer fee has been attached to his departure from Eupen.

Atteri has now formally ended his KAS Eupen spell and is without a club from 3 September 2026.
