Galatasaray explore move for Monaco and Senegal midfielder Lamine Camara

Senegal midfielder Lamine Camara is being linked with a move from Monaco to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

Camara, 22, has started Monaco’s opening two Ligue 1 matches of the 2026-27 season and remains under contract with the French club until 30 June 2029. The reported transfer is assessed at a 58% probability, while his current market value is listed at €40m.

The central midfielder joined Monaco from Metz in July 2024 for a reported €15m fee. He has also featured twice in Conference League qualifying this season, scoring once.

Camara has played four matches for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, starting three of them and registering one assist. He was part of Senegal’s African Nations Championship-winning squad in 2022-23 and also won the Under-20 Africa Cup in 2023.

The potential move would take him from Ligue 1 to Turkey’s top flight, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between Monaco and Galatasaray. Camara’s long-term contract means Monaco would not be under immediate pressure to sell, with the player currently established in their midfield squad.
