Orlando Pirates name starting XI for Carling Knockout quarter-final against Sekhukhune United

Orlando Pirates have named their starting XI for the Carling Knockout quarter-final against Sekhukhune United at the Orlando Amstel Arena on 07 November 2026.

The defending champions reached the last eight after beating Milford FC heavily at home a couple of weeks ago. They go into the tie with confidence following a 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the first Soweto Derby of the season last weekend.

Pirates have also enjoyed a strong record against Sekhukhune United this season. The Buccaneers defeated them in the league before completing a victory in both legs of their MTN8 semi-final tie.

Sekhukhune United will be looking to respond after suffering a 1-0 league defeat by Milford last weekend. Papi Zothwane’s team secured their place in the Carling Knockout quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over Richards Bay in the previous round.

Orlando Pirates will start with Chaine in goal, while Hotto, Seema, Zulu and Lungu make up the defensive line. Selepe, Mokobodi and Masilela are named in midfield, with Padime, Moremi and Mbuthuma completing the starting XI.
